I just wanted to share this is my workspace. use it as you will. https://otter.ai/u/0p2h-Uqdlu0pao0R-oNLv2szJ_g

I want to get into it and have been interested in transcribing for a long time. Will the otter thing help?

I really struggle when they talk over each other. I am not sure what to do about that.

Hi SKahler! Here's a few blurbs from a review article for Otter AI:

"Transcribing With Otter.AI: Test 2:
"Unfortunately, Otter.AI was less useful for our second test (transcribing an edited podcast interview).

It produced a transcript of a podcast episode that required significant editing before becoming publishable. Although I could edit this myself or hire an assistant to clean the transcript up, it’s more efficient to pay a human transcriptionist or use a service like Rev."

"If you depend on 100% accuracy or want to quote people verbatim, your needs are better served by a human transcriptionist, unless you’re happy to edit transcriptions."

So I skimmed through your workspace on Otter.AI, and it just looks like it will be a bit of a headache to clean it up. I find it easier to edit on the fly, as I'm transcribing. This allows me to drop stutters, false starts, and clean up interruptions. The Otter AI misses or messes up a variety of words, punctuation marks, capitalized and uncapitalized letters, and other formatting issues. There are a few Google API-transcribed episodes, like Episode 826, and the machine transcription isn't even as good as Otter's. As for crosstalk, it can be hard and takes some time for your ear to get used to the overlapping voices. Don't be afraid to put something like this:
[crosstalk]<!-- help what are they saying here!? -->
Thanks for all of your help! Keep it up!
